Dropbox not updating files

It’s called Selective Sync, but to find it you’ll have to dig a little bit. On Windows there’s a good chance that you’ll need to click the up arrow to the left of your system tray, in order to see the rarely-clicked icons. Whatever your operating system, you’ll see the standard Dropbox window, which includes a rolling list of recently synced files. From here, a sub-window will pop up, allowing you to uncheck specific folders or sub-folders.

Uncheck anything that you don’t want synced to the computer that you’re currently using.

Dropbox is an online storage service which focuses on online backup, file sharing and file synchronization.

To synchronize files between the online storage and a mobile device or PC, Dropbox offers a special application.

On what appears to be a random basis, most (perhaps all, can't confirm) files seem to be syncing TO my Mac from my Windows PC; however, files are not syncing FROM my Mac to my Windows PC and my i Phone (including passwords that I've recently added to 1P on my Mac).

After reinstalls, unlink/relink, etc., Dropbox continues to appear to be stuck syncing on my MBP (says "Updating (1,383 files)", and it's always around 1,000 and change files, in the Dropbox menu).

So Fixing this problem requires changing the files attributes.Dropbox appears to be stuck continually syncing (arrows in a circle on menu icon; some files with green check, some with arrows in a circle) on my MBP.I think I've tried everything suggested by Dropbox support (see links below), including: unlinking, relinking my MBP; clearing Dropbox cache; uninstalling and reinstalling Dropbox.I share an account with my wife, so I could for example uncheck her work folder.

Note that unchecking a folder will not delete that folder from the cloud or any other computer: all this does is prevent the given folder from syncing to the computer you’re currently using. The common files attributes are: [R] Read-only file attribute.
